Chances are that those of you who travel regularly use Delta Airlines at least occasionally. Next time you fly Delta, bypass printing a ticket on paper either at home, a kiosk or at the checking counter. Delta now gives you the option to use what they call an “iTicket” if you have a cell phone with text messaging (with pictures) enabled, such as a GTRC issued Blackberry. During the on-line check-in process you will be given a choice to use an iTicket instead of an eTicket. Choosing the iTicket route will result in an e-mail or a text message sent to your cell device (I recommend a text message) that looks like the attached PDF document. To go through security and board the plane you simply show the text message to security personnel right on your device, they scan the “square” bar code on it, look at your ID, and you’re through! It’s that simple.
